WORKPLACE POSTERS

If you have employees, you'll need to hang notice posters in the workplace.  Some notices are required by law, others recommended.  If your workforce consists of a fair amount of non-English speakers, you'll need to post notices in their preferred language.  Here is a list of federal-level notices that relate to your average business:

No Smoking Signage

Enforced by local law enforcement agencies

Employers are required to implement a smoke-free workplace policy that protects employees from involuntary exposure to tobacco smoke.   

 

Posting is mandatory.  No Smoking Signs should be posted at the entrances and exits of a building where smoking is prohibited.  Employers are free to develop their own posting.
